DESICCANT AIR BREATHERS
Desiccant air breathers are designed to increase operational efficiency while reducing operating costs by protecting industrial systems and fuel storage tanks from moisture and particle contaminants. As fluid levels drop and pressure changes occur in a system, moist air is drawn through the breather. Air passes through a 2-micron solid contaminant filter and a diffuser to ensure maximum efficiency in the silica gel chamber. Water vapor in the air is absorbed by the silica gel before the dry air passes through a second 2-micron contaminant filter. The filtered air that enters the reservoir is void of moisture and contaminants.

THE PROBLEM
CONTAMINATION
The reservoirs / tanks suck contamination that is transferred to the systems and generate wear and failures.
CONDENSATION
Condensation is generated and severely impacts components.
filtration costs
Decreases the useful life of filtration systems.
Staying Clean
Decreases the need for reservoir / tank cleaning.

THE FMS
SOLUTION
STEP 1
Define the input and output flow.
STEP 2
Determine the largest flow.
STEP 3
Set up and install the proper breather.

BREATHER
Keep fuel and hydraulic reservoirs free of moisture and dirt with the breather dryer (with Extended service life). The special feature of the filter are the two separated chambers storing two adsorbent types with different water holding capacity and response behavior. Four check valves can be integrated in the filter bottom in order to protect the adsorbent material avoiding a saturation during system’s downtime.
